I was interested in reactions (on social media and via email) to yesterday’s post on the question of uniting the clans, particularly those who took me to task for it. I have never quite understood why some people get so exercised over this idea of uniting against a common enemy. If you don’t want to unite your clan with mine, then don’t! But why the vitriol?

Editor's Intro: For thirty-two years, I have been leading the U.S. Chapter on the Pilgrimage to Chartres under the banner of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Empress of the Americas. It was Our Lady who reclaimed the New World from the Old Serpent 500 years ago, and it will be Our Lady who will reclaim it again from the demons of the New World Order. It is absolutely vital for us to place ourselves under her mantle and to beg her intercession with her Son on behalf of our Church, our countries, and the souls of our children. It goes without saying, therefore, that we here at The Remnant are eager to stand with His Eminence Raymond Cardinal Burke as he makes this historic call for all faithful Catholics to join him in this nine-month novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe. May God bless and Mary keep Cardinal Burke for leading us in this holy crusade.  – Michael J. Matt

Prayer
OF THE NINE-MONTH NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE

‍To be prayed daily throughout the nine-month novena from March 12 to December 12, 2024.

O Virgin Mother of God, we fly to your protection and beg your intercession against the darkness and sin which ever more envelop the world and menace the Church. Your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, gave you to us as our mother as He died on the Cross for our salvation. So too, in 1531, when darkness and sin beset us, He sent you, as Our Lady of Guadalupe, on Tepeyac to lead us to Him Who alone is our light and our salvation.

Through your apparitions on Tepeyac and your abiding presence with us on the miraculous mantle of your messenger, Saint Juan Diego, millions of souls converted to faith in your Divine Son. Through this novena and our consecration to you, we humbly implore your intercession for our daily conversion of life to Him and the conversion of millions more who do not yet believe in Him. In our homes and in our nation, lead us to Him Who alone wins the victory over sin and darkness in us and in the world.

Unite our hearts to your Immaculate Heart so that they may find their true and lasting home in the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Ever guide us along the pilgrimage of life to our eternal home with Him. So may our hearts, one with yours, always trust in God's promise of salvation, in His never-failing mercy toward all who turn to Him with a humble and contrite heart. Through this novena and our consecration to you, O Virgin of Guadalupe, lead all souls in America and throughout the world to your Divine Son in Whose name we pray. Amen.

New from Remnant TV...

In this Underground, Michael Matt takes questions from YOU – RTV viewers – on the FSSP’s meeting with Pope Francis, the fall of Michael Voris, the return of Donald Trump, and the legitimacy of the SSPX.

NEWSFLASH: The Protestant churches already have gay pastors, married clergy, and lady bishops. And yet 220,000 Protestants abandoned Germany’s 20 different Protestant denominations just last year. So, how would these “reforms” in the Catholic Church address the problem? They won’t!  So, let’s stop exploiting the plight of abused children to push the woke Synodal agenda.

New from Remnant TV...

Springtime of Vatican II update: As the Catholic Church in Spain collapses, one Spanish priest is reduced to serving forty-three parishes all by himself. And as the German Bishops prepare for mass blessings of same-sex couples, some German priests are blessing bicycles and calling for radically woke reform. While European farmers physically block Agenda 2030 with tractors and manure, Pope Francis warns against eating too much beef.

Official Communiqué of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter

Audience with Pope Francis

Following a request from the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, Pope Francis invited Fr. Andrzej Komorowski, Superior General of the FSSP, to meet with him. He received him in private audience at the Vatican on Thursday, February 29, 2024, accompanied by Fr. Benoît Paul-Joseph, Superior of the District of France, and Fr. Vincent Ribeton, Rector of St. Peter's Seminary in Wigratzbad.

The meeting was an opportunity for them to express their deep gratitude to the Holy Father for the decree of February 11, 2022, by which the Pope confirmed the liturgical specificity of the Fraternity of St. Peter, but also to share with him the difficulties encountered in its application. The Pope was very understanding and invited the Fraternity of St. Peter to continue to build up ecclesial communion ever more fully through its own proper charism. Fr.

Komorowski informed the Holy Father that the decree of February 11, 2022 had been given on the very day of the Fraternity of St. Peter's consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, on the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. The Holy Father hailed this coincidence as a providential sign.

It was a prostitute on the altar the first time around; today it’s a funeral for a male prostitute, laid out just feet from the Tabernacle and hailed as the “Mother of All Whores”.

Dear Friends: In my new Underground, I take a look at massive scandal that took last week in New York when the Abomination of Desolation stood in the holy place that was St. Patrick’s Cathedral. I say “was” because I believe that after THIS the Cathedral needs to be reconsecrated if it is to again be considered a holy place.

So, this is where it has come, just six decades after the close of the Second Vatican Council. When I was a boy, the Modernist marauders had already infiltrated the seminaries. Soon thereafter, they started dismantling the venerable Roman Rite, a process which culminated in the bulldozing of the sanctuaries, high altars, and communion rails. And now they’re sitting back and allowing Prophet Daniel’s “abomination of desolation” to occupy the Holy Places – either too weak or too complicit to stop it.

So much for the Springtime of Vatican II!

St. Athanasius was the bishop of Alexandria in Egypt. He, like Archbishop Lefebvre and now Bishop Strickland today, held the Catholic ground and was thrown out of his own diocese and exiled five times by rightful (albeit heretical) authority.

How could this brutal sacrilege not remind us of the words of St. Athanasius the Great in reference to the Arian marauders of seventeen centuries ago? “They have our buildings,” wrote St. Athanasius to the remnant of Catholic believes at the time, “but we have kept the Faith.”

St. Athanasius was the bishop of Alexandria in Egypt. He, like Archbishop Lefebvre and now Bishop Strickland today, held the Catholic ground and was thrown out of his own diocese and exiled five times by rightful (albeit heretical) authority. For nearly 20 years, he was obliged to serve as a Bishop in exile, administering to his flock as an “excommunicated” shepherd. In life, he was a pariah where the authorities were concerned. In death, Athanasius is hailed as perhaps the greatest defender of the Faith in history, revered as a saint and named a “Doctor of the Church” – even through he’d resisted popes to their faces.

Let the words of Saint Athanasius the Great fill us with hope that, no matter what happens, God will not be mocked:

Letter of St. Athanasius to his flock

“May God console you! ...What saddens you ...is the fact that others have occupied the churches by violence, while during this time you are on the outside. It is a fact that they have the premises ─ but you have the apostolic Faith. They can occupy our churches, but they are outside the true Faith. You remain outside the places of worship, but the Faith dwells within you. Let us consider: what is more important, the place or the Faith? The true Faith, obviously. Who has lost and who has won in this struggle-the one who keeps the premises or the one who keeps the Faith?

“True, the premises are good when the apostolic Faith is preached there; they are holy if everything takes place there in a holy way ...You are the ones who are happy: you who remain within the church by your faith, who hold firmly to the foundations of the Faith which has come down to you from apostolic Tradition. And if an execrable jealousy has tried to shake it on a number of occasions, it has not succeeded. They are the ones who have broken away from it in the present crisis. No one, ever, will prevail against your faith, beloved brothers. And we believe that God will give us our churches back some day.

“Thus, the more violently they try to occupy the places of worship, the more they separate themselves from the Church. They claim that they represent the Church; but in reality, they are the ones who are expelling themselves from it and going astray. Even if Catholics faithful to Tradition are reduced to a handful, they are the ones who are the true Church of Jesus Christ.”

May St. Athanasius intercede for us today. Please watch and share the video evidence below that indeed they have our building but we have the Faith.

In Christo Rege,
Michael J. Matt

The ABOMINATION of DESOLATION Standing in New York’s Holy Place

New from Remnant TV...

In this episode of the Remnant Underground, Michael Matt covers the transexual funeral scandal in New York City’s iconic Cathedral of Saint Patrick. How did this happen? Why did it happen? And how on earth can Cardinal Dolan claim that the “Cathedral people” did a great job with the damage control? Yeah, well, after the damage was already done.

Over at The Catholic Herald, John Allen is reporting that San Diego's Robert Cardinal McElroy has sleuthed out the real motive for the strong American pushback against Fiducia Supplicans: It's because, so deduces Sherlock McElroy, of “an enduring animus among far too many toward LGBT persons”.
